Reminder: say it while you can
You'll never regret it.
We spend so much time waiting for the perfect moment.
To say I love you.
To say I’m proud of you.
To say I’m sorry.
To say thank you for being exactly who you are.
But here’s the truth I keep coming back to — the perfect moment is now.
Not next week. Not someday. Now.
While they can still hear you. While you still have time.
Because one day, we won’t.
And what a gift it would be to never have to wonder if they knew.
This week, I’m practicing what it means to love out loud.
To text first.
To leave long voicemails.
To write the birthday card even if I’ll see them in person.
To speak the words I don’t want to regret keeping quiet.
Because the loudest love isn’t always grand —
It’s simply consistent, intentional, and said out loud while we can.

The other day, I found a screenshot of an old text from my uncle - one he sent me before he passed. He didn’t wait. He felt love - and he said it.
It’s the most beautiful reminder I could ask for:
Don’t wait. Say the thing.
Because it reminded me how rare — and sacred — it is to be told “I love you” just because. Not for a birthday. Not after a milestone. Just because someone felt it and didn’t want to wait to say it.
I think that’s what we forget:
Love isn’t meant to be saved for special occasions.
It’s meant to be said while we can.
Tell the people you love them. Out loud. On purpose. While you can.
This Week’s Prompt:
Write a handwritten letter, send a text, or pick up the phone and call to someone who’s still here.
Tell them something you don’t say enough.
Say it while you can, with your heart n soul.
With love that doesn’t wait,
Mercedes

PS:
If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this:
We never regret saying “I love you.” We only regret when we didn’t.
